Who Can Book with Me?
As a Pro tutor you can still tutor on both regular Cambly and Cambly Pro. You can set your availability specifically for Pro students, which will make you visible to them for reservations. To make it easier for you to understand which students can book with you and the pay rate for each type of student, we made the chart below:
Note: While new Private+ subscribers generally aren't able to book with Pro tutors, there's an exception for corporate accounts. When a company purchases Cambly subscriptions for their employees, those Private+ students may be able to book lessons with you, even if they're new to the platform.
Reservations
Pro students can book lessons during times when you've set Pro availability or when you've claimed a Priority Hour. Pro students marked as 'regular' follow the same booking process as your typical regular students.
How do I set Pro Availability?
When setting your availability, you can choose which types of students can book during those times.
Options include:
- All students – any student can book
- Pro students – all Pro students can book (including Pro regulars)
- Pro students + regulars – all Pro students and all your regulars can book
- Regulars – all your regulars can book (from both Cambly and Pro)
- Pro regulars – only your Pro regulars can book
Pro students can also book during Priority Hours you've claimed.

On-Demand Calls
Currently, Cambly Pro learners can call you on-demand if you're visible to Adults (or regulars, if the student is marked as a regular).
If it's a new Pro student calling you for the first time, you can go ahead and complete the initial activities to help set the learning direction. However, if it's an existing Pro student, we understand that you may not have had time to prepare based on the learning plan you've established with them, and that's perfectly fine. Let the student know that, since it's an on-demand lesson, you don't have a specific plan for that session. Instead, take the opportunity to chat and decide together what would be most helpful that day.
Pro Scheduling Calendar
Cambly Pro lessons are always marked as such, including on your dashboard, calendar, and call history page. Cambly Pro student profiles are also marked accordingly.
