In your second lesson with a student, you’re expected to provide and review a learning plan together. We recommend sharing the plan in the classroom chat and discussing it with the student during the lesson, making edits as needed. Afterward, once both of you agree on the plan, it is best to send it to the student in the chat outside of the lesson. This allows the student to review and refer back to the plan when needed. For your own reference, consider adding it to the “your notes” section of the Lesson Details as well.
Learning plans can be simple, and you have flexibility in how you approach them. You can find our Learning Plan guide here, along with several examples, but feel free to adapt the format to best suit the needs of you and your student.
💡Pro Tip: When you have the kickoff conversation, it can be a great idea to tell the student what you will do with the information! Telling them that you'll come back to your second lesson with a learning plan, customized to their goals and needs, is a great way to encourage them to rebook with you.
