Testimonials
You have the ability to display a student's feedback on your Tutor Profile with the Testimonials feature. This is a great way to showcase the positive feedback students have left you in order to attract new students.
You can find your Testimonials by going to the Profile Tab and scrolling down:
Does every student leave a testimonial?
This is an optional feature for students. Students are not required to leave a testimonial for their tutors.
When are students asked to leave a testimonial?
Students are prompted to leave a written testimonial about you during the rebooking process. This happens alongside the compliments screen, as shown below.
Students are only asked to provide a testimonial once, and only after giving three consistent "Excellent" ratings.
How will I know if I receive a testimonial?
When a student leaves you a testimonial, it will appear under the 'Testimonial' section on your Profile Tab. You can then feature it to your profile!
Why haven't I received any testimonials?
Typically, if you don't see any, it's because your students have not left any feedback on your account yet.
How many testimonials can I feature on my profile?
Currently, tutors can feature up to 4 testimonials on their public tutor profile.
The Compliment Badge System

Compliment Badges are where you can show off your impressive skills on your tutor profile. 🥇 Here's how the award system works:
When students rebook a lesson with you, Cambly prompts them to select compliments that reflect their experience. These compliments highlight specific strengths, like your teaching style or communication skills.
Once a particular compliment is selected by enough students, it unlocks a badge on your profile, showcasing that quality to others.
The badge system works in three tiers:
- 100 compliments = Bronze Badge🥉
- 200 compliments = Silver Badge 🥈

300 compliments = Gold Badge 🏅
When awarded, you can feature up to three badges on your profile to show off your skills to students! The badges will be visible just below your Featured Testimonials. This way, students will quickly see what you bring to the table as an English tutor.

Each completed lesson, regular student, and year on Cambly has not gone unnoticed, and we want to celebrate you every step of the way. When you reach a new milestone, you will see your Celebration on your tutor dashboard. From starting out on Cambly and booking your first lesson, to becoming a veteran tutor who is coming up on a Cambliversary, we appreciate your dedication to helping learners around the world.
