I missed a Priority Hour. What happens now?
We understand that things happen and sometimes you’ll need to miss a lesson or two. That’s why our system has some built-in leeway.
We recommend giving at least 12 hours’ notice before cancelling, but it’s always better to cancel than to no-show completely—even if it’s last minute. You can also cancel Priority Hours from your phone or other device if you can't access your computer.
What happens if I miss too many lessons?
If you miss or late-cancel too many Priority Hours in a short time period Cambly will drop your upcoming Priority Hours and restrict access for 3 days.
Priority Hour access is automatically restored after 3 days. In the meantime, you are welcome to go visible and/or take reservations.
I missed a lesson due to a Cambly-wide outage.
Please do submit a ticket to Tutor Support so we can restore any affected Priority Hours right away!
I had an emergency! Can my schedule be reopened early?
Sometimes things happen that are outside of our control! If you missed too many lessons because of a temporary situation (like a power outage or sickness) and would like your schedule to be re-opened, please let us know by clicking “appeal”. Please use this button sparingly, as there are a limited number of appeals available to tutors. Remember to cancel your lessons with at least 12 hours’ notice whenever possible so your students have enough time to find another tutor.
